Orienteering is a sport that combines map reading and running. Competitors have to find their way between a series of checkpoints, called controls, as quickly as possible. There’s no set route between the controls, so you have to decide which way to go and then find your way there without getting lost.
Spòrs Gàidhlig is able to offer orienteering as an activity suitable for primary and secondary school. Our sessions are progressive and start with the basics, possibly in the school grounds, and move onto more challenging courses as the participants progress.
We have professional orienteering equipment and experience in delivering the activity through the medium of Gaelic.
Orienteering is also suitable for learners at both primary and secondary school levels.
